About Us

  • About Us At The Deck Law Firm, we treat our clients with courtesy and integrity. We understand legal matters are stressful, so we will do our part to manage the situation for you. From civil litigation to tax audits, we'll be by your side. Unlike many large commercial law and tax representation firms, we do not require a flat fee for the work we provide. We do our work based on a reasonable hourly rate that will be stated up front, as well as the hours expected to complete the work. This way you are not "locked in" and have the freedom to go elsewhere if for any reason you are unsatisfied. If you prefer a flat rate, please inform us at the consultation and we will work with you to set a fair flat fee for services. We offer IRS representation and tax law services to both individuals and businesses. By choosing to hire an attorney to represent you before the IRS, you will have the added assurance that your case will be handled ethically and professionally, as all licensed Texas attorneys must abide by the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct. This is not always the case when hiring a "tax representation" firm. We are always on the cutting edge of tax law, and we stay up-to-date on IRS changes. Tyler grew up in Round Rock, Texas where he attended Round Rock High School. After graduation, Tyler attended Trinity University and graduated with a major in accounting. Tyler was then accepted into St Mary's University School of Law, where he graduated with a law degree three years later. Finding an interest in tax, he received his masters in tax law (LLM in taxation) at the University of Denver Sturm College Of Law. Tyler began his tax career in Big 4 Accounting. He worked on several large tax consulting projects, tax return preparation, and IRS controversy. Tyler then oversaw the tax department of a tax representation company as the director of the tax department. Tyler represented hundreds of clients before the IRS and dealt with various tax matters.
