Born in Gary, Indiana, Dr. Richard stayed close to home as he obtained an undergraduate degree in biology at Indiana University Northwest. He then pursued graduate medical training at the Indiana University School of Medicine before completing his residency at Community's Family Medicine Residency Program, where he served as a chief resident. Dr. Richard is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians as well as the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians. He is a past president of the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians. As a family physician, he sees patients from birth through adulthood and values the importance of both childhood and adult routine vaccinations to help decrease the overall spread of diseases.
