• With maxillofacial reconstruction and pediatric plastic surgery, Beacon provides patients with aesthetic results that erase scars caused by illness, trauma and aging. There are misconceptions about the field of plastic surgery and a lack of understanding on what exactly plastic surgeons do. While cosmetic and aesthetic surgery is part of this service, there is more to it. Procedures* can be facial cosmetic (such as brow lift, facelift, dermabrasion); head and neck (neoplasm) for resectioning after skin cancer, for example; head and neck (trauma) for fractures or injuries; breast (reconstruction and cosmetic); trunk (reconstructive); body contouring (cosmetic, such as liposuction or calf augmentation); body contouring (reconstructive); hand and upper extremity (reconstructive); lower extremity (reconstructive); integument (burns, lesions, deformities); microvascular free tissue transfer; adjacent tissue transfer or rearrangement; repair or closure of wounds; use of injectibles*. *Until future notice, we will offer Botox and Juvederm and continue to see plastic consultation patients and see post-operative patients.
