About Us

• Dr. Karen Bullock, our hospital owner, founded Wantage Veterinary Hospital in 2006. Dr. Bullock is a NJ native, earned her Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. Since graduation, Dr. Bullock has been practicing veterinary medicine in Sussex County. You will find her to be compassionate and thorough – whether it’s a sick visit or an annual exam, Dr. Bullock will examine your pet from tip to tail –every time and make certain your questions are addressed. In 2017, with our hospital growing and our clients’ needs and expectations high, after much deliberation, Dr. Bullock asked her trusted colleague, Dr. Monica V. Ilardi- Carriera to join Wantage Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Carriera earned her Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers College and her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Dr. Carriera comes to Wantage Veterinary Hospital with extensive experience in general practice, surgery, and emergency. Wantage Veterinary Hospital is a full-service facility prepared for all your pet care needs – here for annual exam visits and preventative care and ready for an emergency at a moment’s notice. Our hospital is equipped with an in-house laboratory, surgical suite, digital x-ray and full pharmacy. Our dedicated staff will treat your pet like our own, providing your pet with first-rate care unmatched by larger, multi-doctor hospitals. We treat cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and small pet mammals.
