Platelet Rich Plasma, also known as PRP, is blood plasma with very concentrated platelets. The concentrated platelets found in PRP contain huge reservoirs of bioactive proteins, including growth factors that are vital to initiate and accelerate tissue repair and regeneration. Radiofrequency Radiofrequency works by heating the under layer of the skin, known as the dermis. This heat causes collagen creation, called neocollagenesis. Chemical Peel Chemical peels remove damaged outer layers of skin on the face to smooth texture, reduce scarring, and remove blemishes to produce healthy, glowing skin. There are three types of chemical peels, ranging from mild to strong – alphahydroxy acids (AHAs), trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and phenol – and formula strengths are tailored to each patient. Dysport Dysport is an FDA-approved injection treatment that reduces the appearances of fine lines and wrinkles by relaxing facial muscles on the forehead. Similar to BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport is injected directly into the site of wrinkles to prevent the underlying muscles from contracting. However, Dysport can diffuse muscles one to three centimeters from the injection point, while Botox can only reach as far as one centimeter, allowing for results that reach further areas with just a single injection. Laser Nail Fungal Removal When undergoing a laser toenail fungus treatment, a medical professional will apply a directed focused light source on to a toe that is infected. The laser toenail fungus treatment will target the fungal infection in the toenail and the area below called the toenail matrix. We offer microdermabrasion treatments with a crystal-free peel tip that evenly sloughs off dead skin cells with gentle abrasion revealing instantly brighter skin. At San Mateo Laser and SkinCenter we use medical grade microdermabrasion machines that provide you with fast results. After the microdermabrasion is completed a moisturizing infusion treatment is applied to the skin, a gentle combination of aloe, green and white tea, and grape seed antioxidants that calm the skin after the microdermabrasion peel. It contains retinyl palmitate ( Vitamin A), Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamin E) for UV resisteance and Soidum Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid) which helps retain the skin cells moisture content since it is hydrophilic. Each session ends with customized LED light therapy. Usually five to six treatments are recommended to thoroughly give new texture to your skin and reduce or remove fine wrinkles and unwanted pigmentation.
