About Us

  • The mission of the Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills and its subsidiaries is to provide individuals and families with comprehensive, high quality, cost-effective home and community health care services, regardless of ability to pay, using partnerships where appropriate. By providing part-time skilled nursing care to those ill at home, or in the place of residence used as their home, and by providing and/or arranging for such other therapeutic services as may be needed in the home to assure optimum standards for total patient care. Other therapeutic services provided by the Visiting Nurse Association include: Physical, Speech and Occupational Therapy, Medical Social Service,Nutritional Counseling and Home Health Aide and Companion services. By providing Hospice care to terminally ill individuals and their families, coordinated by a multi-disciplinary Hospice Team. By providing a continuum of supportive community services designed to enable individuals to remain in their homes, and to prevent or delay institutionalization. By identifying signs of deviation from health and well-being and encouraging action on the part of the individual and family or significant other inseeking correction through medical care, utilization of other appropriate community health and welfare resources, and through adjustment to or alteration of the environment. By participating in the development of community resources for the promotion of health and care of the sick through identifying unmet needs and by joining in planning efforts to meet such needs on either a communitywide, county, or neighborhood level.
