    Background

The TV Shop was opened in April 1988 at 168 Philadelphia Street in Indiana, Pa. The shop was operated solely by Greg Kerr, the owner, with Greg handling the service calls in the mornings and repairing the sets in the afternoon. Business at this time was strictly out of warranty products.
He soon started to solicit retail stores and became authorized for Zenith, Rca and GE warranty repairs. He became the exclusive Service Center for the Appliance Store, Penn Furniture and K-Mart in Indiana.
But then a knee injury, which led to surgery in June 1988, forced him to hire his first employee. With business growing rapidly and Greg on crutches, he hired 2 more employees and a secretary. With more stores requesting his service and the area of his business expanding into the Pittsburgh area and Dubois, he began searching for a larger store front.
In December of 1990, he relocated to 530 Philadelphia Street, Indiana, Pa. along with 6 employees.
In October 1991, Greg opened a shop in Waverly N.Y. at the request of a retail store in that area. In October 1996 that shop relocated to Ulster Pa.
In 1995, with the help from his brother, he now services the Columbus Ohio area as well.
Today the shop employs 9 technicians, 4 support personnel, and a shop foreman. We are authorized for over 30 manufacturers, and supply the warranty work for most major retailers with-in a 60 mile radius.
