• About Us Mrs. Rodriguez was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and raised in the town of Yauco. In the year 1997, Mrs. Rodriguez decided to move to Clermont, Florida where she has lived with her family ever since. Mrs. Rodriguez is completely bilingual in English and Spanish, and is very proud of her background. Mrs. Rodriguez is excited to offer her services to the town of Clermont, which she now calls home, as well as, to the near towns and cities in Central Florida. Mrs. Rodriguez began her professional studies in Valencia Community College where she obtained a portion of her degree. While in Valencia, Mrs. Rodriguez graduated with Honors and was named a Scholar for the Spanish Business and Professional Women Association, due to her academic achievements. Mrs. Rodriguez then completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management, where she graduated with High Honors and in the top 5% of her class. Mrs. Rodriguez attended law school at the Florida A&M University (FAMU), College of Law, located in Orlando. She attended law school in the evenings, while working full time during the day for the United States Postal Service. While in law school, Mrs. Rodriguez ranked number 4 out of the total students for her particular class and was invited to become a member of FAMU’s Law Review. There, she worked as editor and senior editor, for two years, where she worked in the publication of articles for the Law Review's Journal. Mrs. Rodriguez graduated cum laude from FAMU’s College of Law and ranked in the top 12% of the total class. While in law school, Mrs. Rodriguez also participated in moot trials, as part of the Trial Practice Course, and assisted as practice argument judge for the Inter-American Sustainable Development Law Moot Court team. Mrs. Rodriguez was authorized, by the Florida Supreme Court, to become a Certified Legal Intern (CLI). As a CLI, Mrs. Rodriguez worked at the State Attorney’s Office for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, in the location of Orange County. There, she performed complete jury trials (in the areas of Petit Theft, Prostitution, Driving under the Influence, Possession of Cannabis and Paraphernalia), litigated many hearings, and participated in many court proceedings. After graduation, Mrs. Rodriguez worked, as a prosecutor, at the State Attorney’s Office for the Fifth Judicial Circuit in both Marion and Lake County. Mrs. Rodriguez also worked as a prosecutor at the State Attorney’s Office for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, particularly in Osceola County. There, she handled hundreds of county cases, including traffic and misdemeanors. Mrs. Rodriguez litigated many jury trials, with a high conviction rate, in the areas of Driving under the Influence, Drug Possession Cases, Theft Cases, Driving Offenses, Open House Parties, Resisting an Officer without Violence, Battery, and assisted in trials for offenses including Possession of Oxycodone, Robbery and Burglary. Mrs. Rodriguez litigated numerous Motions to Suppress in DUI and Drug cases, and handled many court proceedings to include Arraignments, Initial Appearances, Pre-trial Conferences, Plea Hearings, Violation of Probation Hearings, Bond Hearings, and other proceedings, as applicable. In addition to handling part of a docket for her division, she was also in charge of handling Appeals for her cases, and answered appellate briefs on trial cases, as well as cases where defendants were asking for post-conviction relief. Mrs. Rodriguez strongly believes that every person deserves to have representation and considers herself to be an advocate for those in need of help. She has volunteered for the Legal Aid Society, where she has participated in assisting individuals in need of legal services. Mrs. Rodriguez believes that evaluating all of the events leading to an arrest is imminent in a criminal case, and she will look at every detail of your case to aggressively work towards a resolution. Mrs. Rodriguez considers herself to be a litigator and will fight for your rights in court, regardless of the effort and time required.
