About Us Susan Barfield is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Case Works. Susan has an extensive career in nursing and operations. Prior to Case Works, Susan was Vice President of Clinical Operations for a national medical startup. The fast paced, high demanding environment of a start-up company taught Susan that in order to consistently excel and be a key company resource, she had to pilot new business practices, drive operations across a multi-disciplined organization, be results oriented, identify trends and opportunities for strategic growth, and leverage expertise and resources across the business environment to effectively lead and direct teams. She was a proven problem solver who simplified complex problems into executable business solutions with measurable outcomes. Susan holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin. Susan was recently nominated in Austin Business Journal for the 2019 Profiles in Power, Central Texas Women of Influence Award. When Susan is not working, you will find her with Ken at their lake house listening to music on their boat.
