• I was raised here in Hilton Head Island and have been in Bluffton for about 6 yrs. I love being in the Beauty industry!!! I have the ability to make my clients feel better about themselves. I want them to feel pretty when they leave!! We all deserve that!! especially for those that are coming out to get their hair done. I work in a salon called, “Style It Salon” with Joy Ross. It’s just the two of us in the salon. Isn’t that AWESOME!!!??? I LOVE that about my job because I feel like I can’t give my client the attention that they need. Our quaint little spot in Old Town Bluffton keeps the risk of any type of Covid down significantly. The traffic in the Salon is very light. Appointments can be set up so that Joy and I are not there at the same time for those that don’t want to expose themselves. We have masks, Face Shields, an air purifier, and are chairs are 10 ft apart from each other. As a side note cosmetologists go to school to get licensed so we can do our job. To keep our License we have to do continuing education as well. During schooling half our time is spent on Cleanliness, Sterilization and Sanitation in the Salon. We also have to do continuing education half of that time is Cleanliness, sterilization & sanitation in the salon. South Carolina state board will show up unannounced to make sure that the salon meets the guidelines. After returning from quarantine state board showed up the Salon got an A++ I love doing color, men’s, women's & kids cuts. I also offer other services!!
