About Us

  • Since our founding in 1922, Shriners Hospitals for Children have treated more than one million children in the United States, Canada and Mexico with orthopaedic conditions, spinal cord injuries, burns, or cleft lip and palate. Children are eligible for care up to the age of 18 if, in the opinion of our physicians, there is a reasonable possibility they can benefit from the specialized services available. Applicants are accepted based solely on a child’s medical needs. With the largest full-time staff of pediatric orthopaedic surgeons in the United States, as well as a comprehensive team of physical, occupational, speech and other therapists, we are able to treat each child with a customized approach based on their overall health and medical conditions.
