About Us

  • About Us The Ridgewood Hearing Center is one of Bergen County’s premier hearing centers where you can get expert help with a wide range of hearing issues including hearing loss, trouble balancing, hearing tests, hearing aid services, and more. In the event that you experience severe hearing loss that requires auditory support, we can provide you with several high-quality, custom fitted hearing aid options that meet your needs. We are all about giving you the best possible care and providing you with hearing solutions that work best for you. We work hard to provide exceptional care with a personal touch for all of our patients. The well-being of our patients is always our number one priority. Our staff is led by well-respected Otolaryngologist (Ear, Nose, & Throat Specialist) Dr. Philip J. Aretsky, a Board Certified ENT Specialist who provides ENT services for adult, adolescent, and pediatric patients. In addition to Dr. Aretsky, we have our in-house Audiologist, Linda Liebowitz, who provides hearing aid services to patients who require them. She also repairs most major hearing aid brands so that patients don’t have to purchase a new hearing aid if the current one just needs a small fix. To round off our staff, we have Thomas J. Ouimet, our Hearing Instrument Specialist who helps us keep up to date on the latest hearing technologies available. Both Linda and Thomas hold New Jersey Hearing Aid Dispenser Licenses.  One of the best things about our staff lineup is that we have all bases covered under one roof. Sometimes patients come to us to receive hearing tests, but have earwax buildup which produces inaccurate test results. Typical hearing practices are usually staffed only by Audiologists and Hearing Instrument Specialists who are unfortunately unable to remove earwax. Thus, they are required to refer patients to a licensed medical doctor. We are extremely lucky to have Dr. Aretsky in-house as a licensed Ear, Nose, Throat Specialist who is able to remove earwax for patients prior to receiving hearing tests. Having all three hearing professionals in the same practice makes a huge difference for our customers in both time and convenience.
