• PWest Management, LLC Having managed her own life for almost a decade, Patricia West (CEO) is in full swing with her artist management company, PWest Management, LLC. She and (COO) of PWest Management Chelsea Cannon. West, the oldest of seven girls and five boys, was destined to lead and is currently the headship of four talents: hip-hop/pop artist, M.R Bentley; girl band Verbosity; Dj's Kaution and AntLiva. West started managing her brother/actor/model, Kevin Shawn Carter was West’s first client, who encouraged her—along with West’s husband—to break into the entertainment business as a manager. With the pressure of being the eldest, one would surmise that West would be unable to look out for her siblings, maintain school, work, and help around the house. With her drive, however, West was able to maintain all that and more. Just 28, West is from Philadelphia, PA, a staple city and environment for musical success. She grew up in the Strawberry Mansion section of North Philadelphia, and despite the stigma held against that particular neighborhood, West was a very active teenager and young adult. In junior high school, she was in the chess and checkers club. By the time she reached high school, which was Strawberry Mansion High School, she ran cross country, played football, softball, and basketball, and developed an interest in math and science. With the passing of her grandmother, who raised only her and two siblings, West became very independent. After briefly living with her paternal grandparents, she decided to live completely on her own. In short, she started living on her own while balancing college and work. She then became a state-licensed CNA and held a cashier and customer service job at her local grocery store, Rosa Family Market. One year later, she married the love of her life, whom she met at Rosa’s and began dating in 2009. In a male-dominated industry, West is very grateful to have such a supportive husband. Her strong will, loyalty, and confidence sustain an unbreakable bond between her artists, business partner Chelsea Cannon and herself as a manager. In her short but committed time in management, West has learned a great deal and is fortunate to have successfully launched her own management company. Along the way, she has met other young leaders in the entertainment industry such as DJ RL, DJ Diamond Kuts, DJ Drama, DJ Envy, DJ Damage, Gillie Da Kid, Kevin Hart, and Mello, the CEO of Aradii Wardrobe.
