• We, at Pooch & Groom (AKA Olympic Petshop) have been in business for over 15 years and get our puppies from small breeders with less than 5 dogs. This way, the dogs are legally able to be kept inside the breeder’s house. (FYI, by law if the breeders have 5 or more dogs, they must be kept in kennels outside their home and cannot run “freely” outside or inside.) Our puppies are more socialized and healthy compared to large scaled breeders that raise their dogs outdoors in kennels .This is why we do not and cannot order puppies in advance. We do not take deposits before we have the puppies and all of our puppies are on a first come first serve basis. If you do leave a deposit for a puppy, we will never sell the puppy even if a larger amount is offered (and believe me, we get offers all the time!) since the puppy is now partially yours. Since puppies are live animals, we have the right to refuse to sell the puppy if we feel that the potential customer is not suitable to raise a puppy. We guarantee the health of our puppies and will help the new owner learn how to train, feed, wash, and take care of the puppy. We give our customers a 24 hour number so they can call us in the time of an emergency (hypoglycemia, diarrhea, vomiting, etc), or simply text us if they have basic questions they have about raising the puppy.
