• SURESH PITCHUMONI, M.D. was born and raised in Glen Rock, N.J. He graduated with honors from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He returned to NJ to pursue his medical education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey ? Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (New Brunswick), where he was honored with the Gold Humanism in Medicine as well as the Excellence in Research Award. Dr. Pitchumoni completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA before moving on to New York University for his Gastroenterology fellowship. At NYU, he gained expertise in both colonoscopy and upper endoscopy. He is trained in both general gastroenterology (digestive diseases) and hepatology (liver diseases). Dr. Pitchumoni joined Drs. Tendler, Cencora and Gold in practice in 2008. He strives to deliver high quality care with a humanistic approach to each and every patient, and prides himself on his ability to make patients fee comfortable. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Pitchumoni lives in Manalapan with his wife and twin boys.
