About Us

  • BIOGRAPHY Paul D. Crook, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in sports medicine and joint replacement for the shoulder, hip, and knee. Dr. Crook graduated Magna Cum Laude from Washington and Lee University with a B.A in Chemistry. He was also a member of his college swim team, where he was a 4x All-American and served as team captain his senior year. He received his medical degree with honors from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine and completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Dr. Crook then completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine/ Burkhart Research Institute of Orthopaedics. He is originally from Nashville and serves as the team physician for his alma mater, Montgomery Bell Academy. He has also served as team doctor for Texas A&M football as well as several professional teams including the Houston Sabercats rugby team and San Antonio Missions Triple A baseball team. Dr. Crook holds active memberships in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA). He is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Outside of medicine, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with his wife and son.
