We grow and sell unique edible food plants developed at our farm in southwestern Michigan which are sold via catalog and internet. We specialize in wild fruits and nuts that are easy to grow and produce with a minimum of care. Almost everything is grown from our own seed strains called Ecos which were developed over the last 30 years. We believe these are the most durable and resilient plants productive in a wide range of conditions. Our specialties include chestnuts, hazelnuts, northern pecan, hickory, walnuts, edible acorn oaks, wild plums, apricots, cherries, wild or species apples and pears, wild strawberries, native gooseberries and currants, pawpaw, persimmon plus many rare fruits from around the world. We grow a large selection of perennial vegetables including sunchokes, groundnuts, chufa, potato from true seed, asparagus, violets, dandelion selections, sorrel and even hardy edible cactus. Our plants are grown using organic methods. We offer field grown bare root plants as well as plants grown in small paper pots. Pot plants are available almost all year round. Field plants, tubers and rhizomes are available in the dormant seasons-spring and fall after the plants have lost their leaves. We pay careful attention to detail and ship plants with great care.
