• Northeast Moms & Babies was founded by two nurse practitioners with a passion to fill a void in the support for breastfeeding families. We have learned through both our personal experience and from working with our patients, that the support for breastfeeding mothers after discharge from the hospital is often lacking. Our desire is to help babies thrive by providing the type of support new mothers and families need to meet the feeding goals for their babies. The post-birth season is both wonderful and challenging, requiring not only knowledge, but compassion, and our hope is to provide both within in the comfort of your own home. Lactation Consultation / Lactation Support Our team of lactation professionals can help you get off to a good start with breastfeeding by trouble shooting along the way. Issues such as sore nipples, low milk supply, or a baby with slow weight gain or suspected tongue tie can be paralyzing. We'll help with any of these and will also offer you support if you're breastfeeding and returning to work. Baby Sleep & Safety Consultation Our consultants help you improve your baby’s sleep with gentle techniques that don't always involve leaving them alone to cry.. We're also committed to infant sleep safety and are available to help new parents set up a safe sleep environment for their baby. Newborn Sleep & Feeding Consultation Let our experienced nurse practitioners come to you in those first uncertain days at home and answer all your questions. We'll weigh your baby and help you with any feeding or sleeping challenges. Prenatal Lactation/ Breastfeeding Classes We are not only nurse practitioners but mothers as well, and so we we’ve been there and we get it. We're happy to come to your home to teach you the basics of breastfeeding before your baby arrives. Knowledge is definitely power when it comes to breastfeeding success in the early days. Prenatal Classes In this teaching session we will go over what to expect in the early days of caring for a newborn. Popular topics are: soothing, swaddling, bathing, cord and circumcision care, normal sleep, and bowel and bladder patterns, and when to call your baby's doctor.
