About Us

  • Meet Nicole Smith. The first in her family to attend college, Nicole chose to enter the medical field after her first child was born. She became an RN and spent 14 years as a labor and delivery nurse before earning her master’s and becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife. As a CNM, Nicole sees and helps women throughout their lifetime – whether they are pregnant, seeking routine care or having an issue related to women’s health. "I chose this particular specialty to help women stay in their best health and safely support their childbirth experience," she explains. "I love bringing babies into the world." Nicole’s philosophy of care embraces the physiologic birth model – giving women more freedom in their birthing options – with medical intervention when necessary. She is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM) and earned her Master of Nursing in Midwifery from the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing. In her own words… Who is or was the most influential person/role model in your life? My children. What was your first job growing up? What do you remember about it? I worked at Burger King. I remember slipping on the greasy floors. What is your favorite food? Movie? I love all kinds of food. As for movies, I have too many favorites to list. What were your best/worst subjects in school growing up? My best subjects were math and science. I don’t recall which was my worst. If you could sit down to dinner with anyone (alive or deceased) who would it be and why? My father who passed away 12 years ago. I miss talking to him. In addition to medicine, what are you passionate about? What are your hobbies, interests? I enjoy painting, gardening and hiking. Do you have pets? Yes! I have a Goldendoodle named Malfoy and a kitten named Dobby.
