For more than twenty years, Dr. Allyson Mertins has provided the highest quality eye health and vision care to Northwest Arkansas. She graduated magna cum laude from both Drury College and Southern College of Optometry, then started her career with McDonald Eye Associates in Fayetteville, AR, working as an optometric physician and Director of Refractive Surgery. In 2006, she launched Mertins Eye and Optical to serve patients and discerning eyewear customers around the state. Allyson Mertins has served as adjunct faculty of Southern College of Optometry and multiple terms on the Board of Directors for the Arkansas Optometric Association. She currently serves on the Medical Advisory Board of Restore Humanity, a local non-profit serving children and parts of rural Kenya. Dr. Mertins and the entire team at Mertins Eye & Optical wants each of their patients and eyewear customers to look good and see well.
