• Dr. Kim is a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry, the second oldest dental school in the country. Dr. Kim earned his DMD in 1994. The training received by dentists for a DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) and a DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) are very similar, but the name of the degree granted is different depending on the dental school. Dr. Kim enjoys all phases of dentistry including routine fillings, root canals, extractions and complete smile makeovers. Dr. Kim has been a member of the American Dental Association since graduating dental school in 1994. He is also a member of the prestigious national Seattle Study Club, a “university without walls” whose members have committed themselves to excellence in their profession and in the management of their practices. Dr. Kim enjoys learning and keeping up with the latest advances in dentistry. Due to his love of learning, Dr. Kim takes twice as many continuing education classes as the state requires! Giving back to the community is a passion of Dr. Kim. Since 2005, he has traveled on mission trips around the world, donating his dental services to those in need. He has been to Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Native American reservations, and Haiti. Dr. Kim was born in Korea and came to the United States when he was thirteen years old. He settled with his family in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, until he opened his own practice in Morrow, Ohio, in 2002. Dr. Kim attends the Korean Madisonville Methodist Church, where he is actively involved in the mission trip committees and teaches Sunday school. He likes to play chess with his son and collects stamps with his children. Dr. Kim enjoys spending his spare time reading about history, economics, and the stock market. He is also a fan of his hometown teams – The Phillies, The Philadelphia Eagles, and the Temple Owls. He is married to Karissa, a professor at the University of Cincinnati, and they have three wonderful children: Caleb, Faith, and Gabriele.
