  • Jeffery Segal, MD, FACOG is part of Summit Health’s Urogynecology team.

    Dr. Segal founded the Center for Urogynecology at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in 2004, where he has served as the Director of Urogynecology for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology since that time. He is one of the first urogynecologists in the country to become board certified in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Segal’s areas of clinical expertise include the evaluation and treatment of pelvic organ prolapse, stress urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, chronic pelvic pain, interstitial cystitis (painful bladder syndrome), vulvodynia, fecal incontinence, genitourinary and rectovaginal fistulas, and voiding dysfunction.

    Dr. Segal has been recognized nationally as an outstanding educator, and locally by his patients for his dedication and commitment to their care. In 2009 Dr Segal was presented the ACOG/CREOG National Faculty Award for promoting high standards of residency education in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology.and the APGO Community-Based Educators Scholar Award. Dr. Segal is also well respected as a clinical researcher and has published extensively in the field of Urogynecology. He also serves as the Director of Research in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Saint Barnabas Medical Center.

    Dr. Segal is a member of numerous professional societies, including the American Urogynecologic Society, Interstitial Cystitis Network, National Vulvodynia Association, Pelvic Pain Society and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Segal is also a Council Member and has served as Vice President of the New Jersey Obstetrical and Gynecological Society. He served as the Secretary / Treasurer of the New Jersey Obstetrical and Gynecological Political Action Committee, Inc. Dr Segal also serves on the Department Advisory Committee, Resident Education Committee and Clinical Competency Committee for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology of Saint Barnabas Medical Center. Dr. Segal has been a strong advocate for educating women about female pelvic floor dysfunction and provides many lectures to the community each year. He has received the New Jersey Magazine’s Top Doctor award in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2020.
