About Us

  • Concrete is made up of primarily sand, cement, and aggregate (such as crushed stone, slag, gravel, pebbles, etc). Since sand and aggregate do not bond to each other cement is added as a binding agent, a type of glue. Concrete is made of some of earth’s most common and plentiful minerals. The predominant raw material in cement is limestone, which is the most abundant mineral on earth which is sourced from right here in North America. Concrete is an extremely durable material, when properly cared for a concrete piece will outlive its owner. Virtually unaffected by heat and cold, UV rays and moisture, concrete’s durability drastically reduces waste. The longevity of concrete means less maintenance and replacement when compared to other building materials. There are many sources of eco friendly aggregates. These include locally quarried sand, gravel, crushed stone, and an ever-increasing array of post consumer and industrial waste products including fly ash from coal burning electric power plants, and blast furnace slag from steel mills. Crushed concrete from demolition projects are often used as aggregate for concrete. Concrete’s nearly inert matrix of materials makes it ideal for recycling materials while having no effect on the piece’s strength or quality. From design to install, we do our very best to reduce waste and capitalize on concrete’s inherent longevity. We mix our concrete ingredients precisely for each project leaving little to no wasted material. Concrete can also be easily cleaned with organic, non-toxic substances. The best products to clean concrete surfaces are a mild dish soap and warm water. Harsh cleaning chemicals are unnecessary in the care of concrete, and could actually degrade the piece’s sealer. Infinite Stone Studio is a full service design and fabrication studio specializing in precast concrete. We feel like the surface has only been scratched in terms of what can be done with high performance concrete. From countertops to sinks, furniture to fireplace surrounds, these are just a few applications perfectly suited for concrete. This material can be cast in an infinite number of shapes, textures and colors. Using advanced forming techniques as well as sustainable building materials, we can create pieces that were once thought to be impossible. At Infinite Stone Studio we take pride in meticulously handcrafting pieces of functional art that emphasizes the value of quality craftsmanship. We are constantly researching and testing new and innovative ways to sculpt, cast and process this limitless material that is concrete.
