She completed an Internal Medicine residency program at Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Pittsburgh Medical School. Dr. Smith is a board-certified and fellowship trained Rheumatologist. She completed her Rheumatology Fellowship at the University of Teas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas where she served as Chief Fellow.
