• Healing Waters Colonics was founded in 2002 through our owner Tammi Smith who was sick for 3 1/2 years and bedridden the last 6 months of that. Colonic's not only saved her life, but her colon as well. Her so called dead colon was cleaned out of all the old impacted fecal matter and now there is a hollow tubelike colon that functions perfectly, just like it's supposed to. Her paristalsis (the muscle movement in the colon) is functioning and moving like it should be and she is no longer sick! During the time Tammi was sick, she gained nearly 50 pounds being bed ridden from all of the acumulation of that hardened fecal matter that wouldn't come out, but after she completed her program of colonic's she lost all of that weight and more. Tammi had constipation her whole life, and with laxatives and/or enema's she stayed at a decent level of constipation of going every other day. But due to some stressfull things in her life, it caused her paristalsis to basiclly shut down. So during the end of those 3 1/2 years she couldn't even get anything out with laxatives or enema's! Tammi believes these problems started in childhood with an undiagnoses of encopresis.
