• Hands-On Physical Therapy and Athletic Rehabilitation Center is a multifaceted outpatient physical therapy facility located in Lathrup Village (Southfield), Michigan. We are dedicated to providing the highest standard of physical therapy, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, the latest innovative and evidence-based treatment techniques, patient education, and a one-on-one hands-on approach to obtain the absolute best results possible for each and every patient. The injuries we treat vary from basic sprained ankles or low back pain to high level competitive sport injuries such as ACL surgical repair or rotator cuff injury. The ages of our patients also vary from the pediatric to the geriatric population. Regardless of the type of injury or condition, each patient receives a one-on- one individualized initial evaluation of their condition by Dr. Muhammad, and a physical therapy treatment program is customized for that patient based on their particular condition. Unlike many corporate-owned physical therapy clinics that concentrate on financial bottom line cost rather than obtaining effective results for the patients under their care, Hands-On Physical Therapy and Athletic Rehabilitation Center is physical therapist-owned. This means that everything about our facility is directed toward and designed to provide the most effective treatment for our patients, regardless of the cost. This is the reason Hands-On Physical Therapy and Athletic Rehabilitation Center is able to offer the highest level of state-of-the-art treatment equipment available. The facility is state licensed, Medicare certified, and credentialed with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and most other health insurance companies. Hands-On Physical Therapy and Athletic Rehabilitation Center is also credentialed as a clinical internship site for physical therapy and physical therapy assistant students at Wayne State University, Baker College, South University, Henry Ford College, and other schools.
