• Greenwood is a city with a big heart; a welcoming community, immediately evident in the smiling faces and friendly greetings you encounter. And the “spirit of community” that pervades our city is never more evident than among the many businesses, staff, and volunteer that comprise the Greenwood Area Chamber of Commerce. As our mission states, the Greenwood Chamber is a champion for business and an advocate for the community. Our organization presents numerous events and initiatives aimed at strengthening and the economic well being of our community. Ask any involved business owner; they’ll tell you without a doubt, membership in the Chamber has been an important factor in the success of their business. The Chamber also brings together valuable human and financial resources to target the factors that impact the quality of life for the entire community. Leading these initiatives are an experienced, well-qualified Chamber staff, a Board of Directors comprised of dedicated community leaders who represent the interests of all member businesses, and a host of involved individuals who serve on numerous action and planning committees. Many initiatives are already underway, and many new ones are being unveiled, offering numerous opportunities for involvement.
