• A destination for more than 40 years, Grandpa’s Cheesebarn & Sweeties Chocolates is known for our collection of more than 100 cheese varieties from local dairy farms as well as imported cheeses from around the world. Full of local goodness, try a slice off our wheels of Ohio Aged Swiss, Dynamite Dill White Cheddar or Fire Roasted Carolina Reaper Cheese. To help you find your favorite, we offer samples of cheeses for you to try. In addition to cheese, you’ll find smoked meats such as beef jerky, ham and bacon. Our jerky is made with 100% steak-cut beef, available in flavors ranging from mild to honey to spicy. Made just for Grandpa’s Cheesebarn, our ham and bacon are smoked on-site with a mix of hickory and sassafras woods. On our stocked shelves, you’ll also find sauces, pickles and other snacks. Enjoy our gift shop and café churning out homemade ice cream using local cream and milk, and serving our famous hot dogs with old-fashioned casings. Across the courtyard just steps from the cheese barn, there is a shop filled with sweets. From homemade fudge to Buckeyes (rolled daily) to Turtles blended with milk chocolate and caramel, we make our own confections every single day. As part of the Ohio Cheese Trail and Ohio Buckeye Candy Trail, we welcome visitors daily from all over the globe. Often Grandpa—along with four generations of this family-owned business—personally greets customers.
