About Us

  • Goldendale Pregnancy Resource Center has been serving the Goldendale Community for 25 years, providing support for people in any pregnancy or parenting situation - including unexpected pregnancy.

If you are making a decision regarding an unplanned pregnancy, you will be given the opportunity to explore and discuss information concerning each of your options. We're here to support and help you through the confusion and uncertainty that comes with an unexpected pregnancy. You're not alone. At GPRC, you will find accurate information, and caring staff members who are here to help you as you make the best choice for your situation.

If you are parenting, you can earn items for yourself and your baby from our Earn While You Learn boutique. Our videos are up-to-date and contain practical information you can really use. You will find that by investing a little time you can provide diapers, clothing, and other items for your child through their toddler years. If we don't have what you need, we will try to refer you to an organization that does.

We are committed to encourage people with material, emotional, and spiritual care and to help women find healing from post- abortion stress.
Our services are free, private, and confidential. We care about you, your health, your safety, and your future. We are dedicated to caring for you.

    Services We Offer
Free Pregnancy Tests: we provide a laboratory-quality self-test that accurately detects pregnancy seven days after conception.

Peer Counseling and Personal Support: we specialize in options counseling. We will help guide you through your options as you decide what is best for you.

Earn While You Learn Program: This program allows you to earn a wide variety of items (like maternity and infant clothing and other necessities) while learning how to care for yourself and your baby during your pregnancy, and as you parent.

Post-Abortion Support: We have trained peer-counselors and a weekly support group available if you find you have made a decision that you are struggling with. We do not judge - we listen and come alongside you as you work through your feelings.

How do I know if I am pregnant?
Don't worry about being pregnant before you are sure. A missed period is the most common indication, but it doesn't always mean you are pregnant.
    Common pregnancy symptoms:
    Late period
    Tender or swollen breasts
    Frequent urination
    Nausea or vomiting
    Fatigue
    Dizziness or fainting
    Backaches
    Food cravings or aversions
    Darkening of the nipples
We provide free lab quality pregnancy self-tests, and you will have the results before you leave.

I just found out I'm pregnant. Now what should I do?
Before you make a decision, make sure you explore all of your options so that you can make the best decision for your situation. At GPRC, we're not here to judge or force you to do something you don't want to do. Our staff will go over all of the facts about your options with you if your pregnancy test result is positive. We understand that sometimes you need a place to feel safe to share what's on your mind. We are here to listen to your needs.

Will anyone know I came to GPRC?
All of our services are confidential. We won't tell anyone (parents, friends, etc.) you visited us without your written permission.

What if I don't think I can be a good parent?
We provide peer counselors to help you understand your options. We provide information and tools that you can use to be the best parent you can be. Your GPRC peer counselor will be there to support you through every step of the process.

    Do I have other options?
Adoption is a wonderful alternative that is often overlooked. Adoption gives you much control and flexibility. You have the power to choose a family, as well as how much contact you will have with your child. We can help refer you to an adoption agency if you feel this is the best decision for you.

I have already had an abortion. Can you help me?
You are not alone. Many women experience pain and suffering following an abortion no matter how long ago it took place. If you are dealing with grief and guilt because of your abortion decision, we want to help you. Email us or stop by our office to set up a counseling session.
