About Us

  • Dr. Christopher Zarro has received many awards and is a member of the AOA Medical Honor Society, graduating within the top one percent of his medical school class. He is a fellowship trained and board-certified Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon. As an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics at Rutgers University Hospital, he enjoys teaching, research and has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. He is proud to be a multi-year winner of New Jersey Monthly’s Top Doctor award.

    Dr. Zarro graduated from Boston College with a degree in biology and received his master’s degree in physiology and biophysics from Georgetown University. He attended Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Maryland/R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He also completed a spinal fellowship at New York University Medical Center’s Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York, NY.

    As a resident, he gained extensive experience treating traumatic spinal disorders at shock trauma and pediatric spinal deformity at the John’s Hopkins University Hospital. During his highly specialized spine surgery fellowship training, he treated complex adult and pediatric spinal deformities, cervical and lumbar degenerative conditions.

    Dr. Zarro is a New Jersey native and is very grateful to have had the privilege of treating so many wonderful patients over the past decade.
