About Us

  • Bulloch County Schools is a public, pre-kindergarten through twelfth-grade school system located in southeast Georgia. It is our mission to prepare students for success and enhance community value. Superintendent of Schools: Charles G. Wilson We are the 38th largest school district in Georgia. Our school system is Statesboro and Bulloch County's second-largest employer with more than 1,450 employees. We serve more than 10,500 students in a consolidated system with 15 campuses and two alternative learning centers: Cedarwood and the Transitions Learning Center. Bulloch County is an education community with choices of public, private, charter and homeschool K-12 options. There are three post-secondary institutions within the county (Georgia Southern University, East Georgia State College and Ogeechee Technical College). Our students and faculty benefit from the partnerships we have built with these education partners. Accreditation Bulloch County Schools and each of its schools faithfully engage in an accreditation process through AdvancED every five years. This process allows us to share how our employees collaborate in professional learning communities, analyze student performance data, look at root causes, develop plans and act to improve our schools. It's a time for objective input from peer professionals and part of our continuous improvement culture. AdvancED conducted a Quality Assurance Review on September 18 - September 21, 2011, and determined that our school district and each of our schools met the Accreditation Standards for a Quality School system. Our next Quality Assurance Review is scheduled for March 5-8, 2017.
