My experience over 30 years has supported my conviction that mental health treatment is most helpful when it occurs in the context of a cooperative relationship based on mutual respect. I consider it my responsibility to provide enough information for people to make informed choices between treatment options and respect their goals and the choices they make between appropriate potential treatments.
