  • Bridges Voice Instruction has been in business in the Northwest since owner Larry Bridges moved here in 1989 from teaching and performing 16 years in Los Angeles area. He specializes in singing technique and vocal coaching from classical and Broadway, to rock, pop, country, and jazz. Larry loves working with absolute beginners, as well as professionals, and believes ANYONE CAN LEARN TO SING, which is the name of one of the workshops he has taught in schools for years.

    Larry Bridges, B.M.E., M.A. is a professional singer, teacher, and songwriter. While performing at the Country Dinner Playhouse and Windmill Dinner Theatre chains in the 70's, he taught theatre and classical voice at the University of Denver, where he received his Masters in Vocal Performance. He was also music director for "The New Christy Minstrels" in Los Angeles and music director for Ralph Andrews Productions at Columbia Pictures TV. He taught singing and performing for 16 years at McCabes Guitar Shop, which was famous for helping people like Linda Ronstadt and Jackson Browne get their starts. Larry is also an accomplished pianist, guitarist, and songwriter, with songs on national TV shows like "The Outer Limits" on Showtime. His former students play with Elton John and Bonnie Raitt to name a few. Larry loves teaching beginners, as well as professionals. He has taught at the International Thespian Festival and state festivals for years. He has been nominated for Best Musical Director for the 5th Avenue High School Musical Theatre Awards and his students yearly win their divisions in the Puget Sound National Association of Teachers of Singing and two placed in the Top Ten for the U.S. and Canada in 2012 for the National Musical Theatre Competition for publisher Hal Leonard.
