• About Us Michael Blacksburg started practicing law in downtown San Francisco in 2001, but he felt most connected to cases involving local small businesses, families, and individuals rather than large corporations. He wanted to offer affordable, friendly, and service-oriented legal counsel to those groups, so he opened his practice in a warm and inviting converted-Victorian in the centrally located Castro neighborhood. While possessing extensive experience in business law, he has a personal passion for estate planning. A decade ago, he was asked by the AIDS Legal Referral Panel to be on the estate planning panel and available for deathbed wills. It turned out to be the most moving experience of his legal career. Beyond the gratification of helping others to preserve the life they love and maintain a legacy beyond their death, he learned so much about what is truly important to people as they near that passage.
