• Ancora Wellness is a holistic, integrative care practice located in downtown Hillsboro, Oregon that is trauma-informed, anti-oppression, and LGBTQIA+ affirming for all the unique aspects of you. At Ancora Wellness, we know that mental health doesn’t happen in a void. Humans are complicated beings that deserve holistic and comprehensive treatment options when something feels off, or even when everything feels good! We believe that you do not need to have a problem to receive help. Starting as a group counseling practice, Ancora has always believed that you don't need anything wrong with you to talk to a qualified mental health professional. Offering individual and group therapy, clinical supervision, and trauma-informed consultation in the Hillsboro area. As of October 2021, we expanded with the belief that we are multifaceted creatures and mental health is just one aspect. We now offer mental health counseling, naturopathic care, craniosacral therapy, acupuncture, and nutrition services. We are always looking for other body workers and wellness professionals to support every aspect of you. At Ancora, we trust our clients as experts in their lives. That means we understand that each individual knows what they need for wellness. Sometimes it’s talking to someone. Other times, it’s exploring what food we’re nourishing ourselves with. Or maybe you need to see our naturopath to talk about other options. Having all these services under one roof means that we can work collaboratively towards your goals, without you driving around or signing ROIs or telling your story over and over again. Because we do not take insurance at Ancora, anyone can connect with us for services. Your diagnosis, insurance, or lack thereof will not dictate your treatment at Ancora Wellness. We believe that everyone has the right to feel well and whole on their timeline and with the support that feels right to them. You shouldn’t need a diagnosis or permission from an insurance company to receive help for your total person. The word "ancora" means "grounded and centered". in Latin, it can also represent hope and refuge. This is precisely what we desire for our patients. We want Ancora Wellness to be a place of grounding and refuge for everyone we serve.
