• Cancer—just hearing the word is enough to make someone feel a sense of dread, a sense of sorrow, a sense of almost helplessness. Cancer is a very widespread disease and everyone knows someone that either has it or has had it at some point in their lives. It is a horrible disease, and very often it claims the lives of its victims. If it doesn’t claim their lives, it still leaves the person with damage that is severe and has a lasting effect.
  
  One of the biggest problems with cancer is that our medical professionals just do not know how to combat it better than the methods we have already, and those methods we already have are still very harmful to us humans. There are over one hundred different known cancers that affect humans, and as of 2010, the financial costs of cancer have been estimated at 1.16 trillion U.S. dollars per year. That is a lot of money—and unfortunately, with new cancer patients arising in the tens of millions and deaths related to cancer happening in the millions almost every year, there is so much more that needs to be done.
  
  Our current methods of treating cancer involve radiation therapy, surgery that removes the cancer along with whatever organ, body part, or area it has infected, and chemotherapy, which is like poisoning the body and has so many painful symptoms and effects it makes you question if the process is really even worth it. The worst part about all of this is that each patient, each case of cancer wherever it may be, responds differently to the treatments—and just because one works momentarily, it doesn’t mean it will eliminate the cancer entirely. There is always the risk that the cancer will return.
  
  Modern Medicine is equipped with the tools it’s got now, and hopefully in the future, our medical tool shed will expand. But for now, we need to focus on what is important: Managing and ridding ourselves of the disease known as cancer.
  
  We here at Alternatives For Cancer have educated ourselves on cancer and have learned of different alternatives to help take preventative measures against cancer and manage it as well. They can be used along with current medical treatments if you like. Most doctors will not inform you of such alternatives; and as such, it is important to educate yourself. We here at Alternatives For Cancer want to make sure you become educated and know your options.
